Gifts that Go Away

This time of year, it's easy to get caught up in the excessive and wasteful consumerism that takes place.

More than likely, items purchased from big box stores eventually go out of style, take up space collecting dust, end up in a landfill, garage or estate sale.

This year, let's make conscious and smart choices when buying holiday gifts and give Gifts that Go Away - support local service providers, farmers and artisans; purchase "Made in the USA", shop local, buy handmade, make your own!

Make special smelling soaps (everyone's doing it these days). :)

Make deodorants/antiperspirant! Bergamot, clary sage and cypress (blue) are natural antiperspirants! Maybe add some tea tree oil and/or lavender (maybe even a bit of vanilla if you're feeling decadent... or maybe even lime!), mold it in beeswax with some baking soda (& perhaps some cornstarch) and voila!

DIY green cleaner kits &/or recipes!
